Some Public Houses On The Parramatta Line
A Catalogue of Historical Remnants
Medium: Hand assembled laser-printed zine. 20 pages, A5.
Edition #1: 50 hand-numbered copies
This artist’s publication was produced as a textual complement to the moving image work Every Public House On The Parramatta Line (EPH). EPH is a twin channel screen installation conceived for The Digital Gallery, an exhibition initiative of the City of Canada Bay. It is on exhibition there during April/May 2026. This accompanying booklet collects historical news stories pertaining to the hotels pictured in EPH and is available at the exhibition.
In essence, EPH is an exercise in recognising the way the past inhabits the present, through material and psychic remnants. The events and instances contained in this booklet are presented as both historical record and gateways to accessing these remnants.
