Some recent print based works that have been exhibited as single images in group shows.
Untitled (2007). lamda print on alupanel 320 x 219mmm. Installed in a public art "case" at Taylor Square in Darlinghurst, Sydney between February & May 2007. The work was one of a series commisioned from Loose Project artists by Thylacine for Sydney City Council. The image strikes a balance between mindless hedonism and repressed mortality - speaking both to the localised environ and the broader socio-political realm. Originally used as a comedic inter-title for domestic slide nights it possesses a sense of cheeriness that seems even the more tragic for the faded patina time has bestowed upon it.
Towards Unitary Urbanism 1(2006). An inkjet print on archival paper 1350 x 915mm exhibited in the inaugural group show "Loose" at Loose Projects in April 2006. The image, constructed from archival photographs of post WWII Warsaw, posits modernist urban space in dialogue with a burgeoning consumer culture and the attendant visual conditions of abstraction and repetition.
Feeling Evil(2003). An Inkjet print exhibited in A4 size in the show Avoiding The Eye Area at MOP gallery July 2003. Based on a photograph taken in Los Angeles in 2000.
